A Long Way Gone
I've already made one post about this book. the boys in the story went to a city for a rap competition but while they were away their city got attacked by the rebels. Then the rebels moved on to the city that they were in. They escaped them but had to go back to get money because they were starving. They got caught that time. While they were being initiated in to the rebels army the guards got distracted and they escaped them. They are on the move to a safer city but find a little village where one of the boys' aunt is living. They stay there and keep guard on top of a hill for the village. This is as far as i have gotten into the book.

Wow, you're doing a good job blogging! Hope this book is interesting to you and doesn't traumatize you too much! If it doesn't, and you like it, I recommend watching the movie Blood Diamond which deals with similar events. It's about a diamond smuggler and an African father who help each other - to find a hidden diamond and to find the father's son who was captured to be a child soldier in the rebels' army.
